YEREVAN. – The woman, who had sustained a severe gunshot wound from her husband shortly after delivering a baby, still needs rehabilitation.

Director of the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, Razmik Abrahamyan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Abrahamyan noted that the women is in the Department of Neurosurgery, she is in satisfactory condition, but it is yet unknown when she will be discharged from hospital.

“She still has headaches,” said the physician. “The child is with us[, too], [and] doing well.”

We have learned that the woman has been questioned several times.

A tragic event had occurred on June 30 at the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. A man had come to the hospital, shot his wife who had given birth recently, and killed himself.

We managed to find out that they live in Yerevan. The woman is Milena A., 27, and her husband, Hayk V., 33, had shot the woman in the neck and then committed suicide. He died on the spot, whereas the woman underwent surgery. The child she delivered also had health concerns.
