YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday met with Belarusian Ambassador Stepan Sukharenko, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

The President thanked the ambassador for the Belarusian embassy’s activities as well as his personal contribution toward strengthening Armenia-Belarus state relations, and the ties between the two friendship nations.

Sargsyan also wished Sukharenko success in his future endeavors, and expressed the hope that the new Belarusian ambassador to Armenia will continue working with the same activeness.

Ambassador Sukharenko, for his part, thanked the President and all state agencies of Armenia for productive cooperation during his tenure, constant assistance to the embassy’s activities, and mutual understanding.

The diplomat also noted that he is leaving Armenia with fond memories, and he will remain a friend of the country.
