YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia will clarify the procedure for making state information become secret. 

The respective decision was made at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

Deputy Minister of Justice Arsen Mkrtchyan, who presented the draft decision, stated that the classification of information is currently regulated by separate departmental decisions.

The new decision, however, proposes to set a procedure for the classification of information.

According to this decision, the Investigative Committee of Armenia will prepare an extensive list of information within a month, and which is subject to becoming secret.
