Negotiations will begin in the near future with companies building the first line of the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline project—from Russia to Turkey across the Black Sea—, stated Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“We hope that it will be built within the planned timeframe,” Medvedev told Delo daily of Slovenia. “I should note that the Turkish Stream fully meets the interests of Russia and Turkey.”
The Russian PM recalled that, in addition to Turkey, Hungary, Greece, Macedonia, and Serbia also show an interest in this project, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
