YEREVAN. – After the death of Armenia’s Grand Candy company owner Hrant Vardanyan, the company’s economic situation has substantially changed, reported Zhoghovurd daily.

“Rumors are actively circulated recently that the proprietors of Grand Candy, the Vardanyan family, plan to sell their property and leave Armenia. It’s just that they still cannot find a suitable buyer.

“Zhoghovurd, to get a comment on this persistently disseminating news, spoke with company spokesperson Vahram Brutyan, who responded in short: ‘This information does not correspond to reality; it’s an absolute lie.’

“To remind, about three months ago, several Grand Candy company employees were complaining that they had not received salaries for about six months,” wrote Zhoghovurd.
