YEREVAN. – Cases of food poisoning have been frequent this summer in Armenia.
Director of the “Consumer Consulting Center” NGO, Karen Chilingaryan, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Saturday.
“Besides the fact that this summer is very hot [in the country], several food poisoning cases also were recorded, [and] which, in my view, is directly linked also to the hot weather,” said Chilingaryan. “In addition, proper inspections are not conducted at the food spots.
“Conducting permanent monitoring, or inspection, is virtually impossible, since, to conduct an inspection, you need to get the permission of the owner of the given [food] spot.
“To avoid [food] poisoning, the inspections should be permanent.”
