YEREVAN. – In all likelihood, the referendum on a constitutional reform will be conducted by the end of November.
Member of the Constitutional Court (CC) of Armenia, Judge Feliks Tokhyan, noted the above-said at a press conference on Wednesday.
“The Specialized Committee [on Constitutional Reforms] will complete the [respective] work within the next two days, whereupon it will submit the draft [constitutional amendments] to the republic’s President who, in turn, will submit it to the National Assembly in this very month,” Tokhyan also stated.
Chapters 1 through 15 of the new draft Constitution of Armenia have been made public. Accordingly, the country will make a transition from a presidential to a parliamentary system of governance.
