Levon Andreasyan, 85, who was wounded as a result of Azeri sniper shooting in  Movses village of Armenia’s Tavush province on February 4, cannot walk yet, Andreasyan’s daughter-in-law Asmarik Atoyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am. She also said that although the village is under fire, the 85-year-old grandfather refuses to leave it even in that condition.

“He says: “Won’t it be a shame? They’ll say he ran away being afraid of Turks. Who will defend our village?” Ms Asmarik said.

Levon Andreasyan sustained injuries when working on his allotment. His knee and foot thigh-bones were injured. After receiving treatment in Yerevan’s Central Clinical Military Hospital for several weeks, he was discharged and left for Movses village, where he lives with his 86-year-old wife.
