YEREVAN. - Yerevan Brandy Factory will continue to provide manure to farmers for future harvest, factory Chief Operating Officer Igor Arakelyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am today.

This year the factory provided manure in the amount of 250 million AMD (approx. $515,000). The factory will get back the amount for the manure provided to the farmers earlier during the year without any accrual of interest.

The factory has set up a separate schedule with each farmer according to days and hours in order to minimize delays and queues by primary food processing facilities. 

In cooperation with Planet Finance consulting company, Yerevan Brandy Factory has implemented a consulting program in Armenia’s Tavush province this year. “We examined the opportunity to build farmer cooperatives, as well as provided manure – phosphoric, potassium and  nitrogen - costing about 15 million AMD. As a result of the program, we plan to increase the grape yield here by 40% in 5 years,” Arakelyan said.

Yerevan Brandy Factory is one of the largest exporters and taxpayers in Armenia.
