YEREVAN. – Armenia and India will collaborate in the education sector, and important respective documents are being prepared.

The Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, had a working meeting with Indian Ambassador Suresh Babu.

The parties discussed the three documents regarding cooperation between the two countries in the domain of education, and which the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia has prepared.

Specifically, the ministry has developed a draft agreement on mutual recognition of graduation certificates and education degrees, and a new program regarding Armenian-Indian collaboration in education.

The minister and the ambassador also conferred on the development of an agreement on mutual recognition of graduation certificates of higher medical education.

Separately, Ambassador Babu presented to Minister Ashotyan an invitation to the international summit of education ministers, and which the Indian capital city of New Delhi will host in November.
