The cause has been determined for the recent poisoning of several schoolchildren in Baghramyan village in the Ararat Province of Armenia.

The village hall staff informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that an employee of the individual entrepreneur, who supplies food to these schoolchildren, had put sugar instead of salt in the breads.

“Thank God! The kids are fine, now,” added the village hall staff. “All of them were discharged [from hospital] and have gone home.”

On September 10, a mass poisoning had occurred in the Ararat Province. Accordingly, 38 and 8 schoolchildren from Baghramyan and Aygezard villages, respectively, were taken to the Artashat town medical center.

A criminal case is opened into the poisoning case, and an investigation is underway.
