YEREVAN. – Sargis Ghazaryan, who had sustained injuries in the elevator accident on September 7 in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, is still in critical condition.
Head of the Intensive Care Unit at Saint Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center in Yerevan, Samvel Karapetyan, told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The physician added, however, that the patient is regaining consciousness, and there is a positive trend.
Sargis Ghazaryan, 46, and Paruyr Stepanyan, 60, were testing a makeshift outdoor construction freight elevator when its cable snapped, and as a result, it fell to the ground from about twenty meters. One of these workers, however, managed to jump off the falling elevator.
