YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s recommendation to make calculations in Russian rubles within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU)—which comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and most recently, Kyrgyzstan—is very proper, and it is in Armenia’s interests.

“Alternative” Research Center Director, economist Tatul Manaseryan, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Wednesday.

In his words, trading in rubles within the EEU is very beneficial for Armenia.

“And synchronization is needed to switch to a single currency [within the EEU] in the future,” added Manaseryan.
