YEREVAN. – Former principal of Armenian educational complex who was found hanged from a tree on Thursday was accused of misappropriation of the school funds.

Edgar Mikaelyan, former principal of “Poqr Mher” Military Educational Complex, together with the chief accountant of the school was involved in a fraud. Mikaelyan misappropriated over 22 million AMD (around $46, 000) from the budget of the complex.

He was charged with embezzlement, and the recent hearings in the case were held on September 18.

Edgar Mikaelyan was found hanging from a tree in the yard of a house in Kanakeravan village, in the Kotayk region.
