YEREVAN. – Armenia likewise can contribute to the concept of Great Silk Road economic zone.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan noted the aforesaid at his talk with Qiao Zheng Yong, Secretary of the Communist Party of China of the Xi’an city (Shaanxi Province).

The Chinese official, for his part, noted that friendship between the two countries is getting deeper and stronger, informed the Press Office of the Government of Armenia. He stressed China’s—especially the Shaanxi Province’s—interest in deepening and broadening relations with Armenia. He also underscored the need to develop collaboration between the provinces of the two countries.

The interlocutors highly praised President Serzh Sargsyan’s state visit to China, in terms of making Armenian-Chinese ties grow deeper.

In Abrahamyan’s words, Armenia has welcomed the concept put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and toward the establishment of the Great Silk Road economic zone. He added that targeted efforts are underway to implement this project in terms of where Armenia likewise can contribute.

The Armenian PM-led delegation also visited and toured the “Terracotta Warriors and Horses” Museum.
