YEREVAN. – Armenian-German relations will take on a new flavor and emphasis.

The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, stated the aforesaid at his talk Friday with Stephan Dorgerloh, the Minister for Education and Culture of Saxony-Anhalt federal state of Germany.

The President noted that Armenia highly praises Dorgerloh’s pro-Armenian activities. He stressed that Germany is an important partner and friendship country to Armenia. Sargsyan also appreciated the holding of numerous Armenian Genocide Centennial commemorations this year in Germany.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors expressed the hope that the developing relations between Armenia and Saxony-Anhalt will give a new flavor and emphasis to Armenian-German collaboration.

Dorgerloh, presented to Serzh Sargsyan a methodological guide of school textbooks published in Germany, and which is about the Armenian Genocide and, as per the minister, it can also be accessed online.

“We need to say what actually happened,” stressed the German minister. “[We need to] say what is the truth about the Armenian Genocide.”

Serzh Sargsyan and Stephan Dorgerloh also conferred on interparliamentary relations, and underscored the Armenian-German cultural cooperation.
