YEREVAN. – New expert examination on the death of Meri Margaryan, a 26-year-old Armenian maternity patient, has been commissioned.

Marine Tovmasyan, the representative of the victim’s successor, told Armenian News - NEWS.am that she has been invited to familiarize herself with that expert examination on Monday.

Meri Margaryan had been running high temperature for 4 days, but the doctor refused to hospitalize her. The woman was hospitalized at the insistence of her relatives, but she felt worse in the hospital. Then it was decided to move her to the multi-specialized “Erebouni” medical centre, where Meri had Caesarean section, 2 days after which she died. The following day her newborn daughter passed away as well.

Doctor of “Shengavit” Medical Center Shushanik Bakhshyan keeps insisting Meri didn’t have pneumonia. However, according to Armenia’s Investigative Committee, Meri Margaryan died from double pneumonia and a number of other complications.
