YEREVAN. – An inmate has died in the Nubarashen correctional facility in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Department of the Ministry of Justice informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that prisoner Karen Fitljyan had felt ill, on September 26. The ambulance staff, who arrived minutes later, recorded his biological death. 

“A forensic medical examination has been commissioned,” added the Penitentiary Department. “The prisoner had never complained before.”
