Nothing has changed in the home of the Avetisyan family, one year after the brutal murder of seven members of this family from Gyumri, Armenia (PHOTOS).

Over the course of this one year, their relatives could not find the courage to enter the home.

Looking inside the house through the window, you can still see the Christmas tree, which the youth of the family had decorated with the bright hopes for 2015, and the toys of little Seryozha.

The Christmas tree and the beds, in which the family members were killed, are still bloody.

The neighbors try to bypass the closed gate of the house, if possible.

The positive recollections of this family are overwhelming.

A lot has changed for the neighbors since last January 12. It will never be the same for them as long as they check their door locks twice before going to bed, become cautious of every sound coming from outside, and recall the details of that horrible day on January 12 of the year past.

Six members of the Avetisyan family—including a two-year-old girl—were shot dead, and a six-month-old baby—Seryozha Avetisyan—was wounded in their house in Gyumri on January 12, 2015; but the baby boy died in hospital one week later.

Valery Permyakov, a serviceman of the 102nd Russian Military Base in the city, is charged with these murders.

Armenia and Russia instituted criminal cases on charges of murder and military desertion, respectively.

On August 12, the Russian court sentenced Permyakov to ten years in prison.

And on October 16, Armenia formally brought criminal charges against the Russian soldier.

The respective trial is in progress.
