Scientists have discovered an unusual octopus in the depths of the Pacific Ocean.

The body of this octopus is virtually transparent, and therefore the scientist have called it Casper, named after the cartoon character “Casper the Friendly Ghost.”

The Okeanos Explorer research submarine discovered this sea creature near Hawaii, four kilometers deep in the Pacific, according to Informing.ru.

According to experts, octopuses do not usually live in such deep waters, and therefore this one might be a new octopus species which needs to be studied.
