Twelve people have been killed and two seriously injured in a military helicopter crash in Algeria, Associated Press reported quoting Algerian Ministry of Defense.
The helicopter crashed during a reconnaissance mission in the Sahara, between the towns of Adrar and Reggan. According to preliminary data, the cause of the accident was a technical failure.
The chief of staff of the Algerian armed forces ordered an investigation into the accident.
As it is mentioned, the Algerian security forces have repeatedly clashed with the Islamic extremists, Lenta reported.
