YEREVAN. – The US Ambassador to Armenia, Richard Mills, on Monday did not respond to the reporters’ queries regarding the tension along the Line of Contact between the Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces.
The ambassador took part in a reading marathon in capital city Yerevan, and within the framework of the American National Library Week which is held from Sunday to Saturday.
Ambassador Mills read passages from The Human Comedy, a novel by world-renowned American Armenian writer William Saroyan.
The American diplomat noted that Saroyan was a bridge between the Armenian and American peoples and his works are contemporary, especially in the context of the tragic events that occurred last week.
