YEREVAN. – Armenia has not sent a letter of protest to Israel for its sale of weapons to Azerbaijan.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan told the above-said to reporters, and after Friday’s Cabinet session.
“I don’t know where that information came from,” the deputy FM said. “But there was no [diplomatic] note [of protest], and the dissemination of such information is bizarre, at the least.”
In his words, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not plan on sending such diplomatic note to Russia, as well.
“The [Armenian] President’s public address has a much greater value than a note of protest,” Kocharyan said. “We [i.e. Armenia] have repeatedly stated our position on this matter.”
He added that such issues are not resolved by letters of protest.
