The Armenian delegation presented precise facts on the large-scale Azerbaijani aggression both before and during the PACE meeting, Armenian Parliament Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan, who is also the head of the Armenian delegation to PACE, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“The four-day war on Karabakh borders, which preceded the meeting, would apparently have an impact on the work of both our and Azerbaijani delegations. We clearly realized this, huge work being carried out during preparation to this meeting,” Naghdalyan said.

In her words, the Armenian delegation presented precise facts and information, as well as prepared materials and brochures on the events in all the political groups and during the discussion preceding the PACE Bureau meeting.

“In our speeches, we referred to the four-day war, its motives and purposes, the initiators and many other issues. Specifically in my speech, I especially stressed the ties with the terrorists and terror organizations, analyzing the events in the context of regional developments and Turkish policy. I also emphasized the connection of the Azerbaijani terrorists from Syria with the military actions and further developments,” she said.

According to Naghdalyan, the Azerbaijani delegates responded to the speeches of their Armenian colleagues very nervously. “They use their traditional technique of lies and falsifications trying to distort the reality. [But] There was an interesting circumstance this time: regardless of how much they tried to put he blame completely on the Armenian side, the logic betrayed them. For instance, the leader of the Azerbaijani delegation exclaimed in his speech that if Walter’s report hadn’t been turned down at the January meeting, there would have been no war. That is, he indirectly accepted that that they were the initiators and that the main reason of the incidents was that they are trying to change the situation by all means – both by diplomatic and political, as well as military means,” Naghdalyan said.
