The president of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves will perform as a DJ at a concert in Helsinki, reports FlashNord. The president will arrive to Helsinki by the end of April.

The politician will perform for the audience at Siltanen club his favorite rock hits of 60s and 70s, including songs of David Bowie, The Beach Boys, The Who, and other singers, repots Gazeta.

“There will be songs which I was listening on the transistor radio when I was a child. They guided me through my life when I was a teenager. No matter what, as cliche as it sounds, rock saved my life at that time,” told Ilves.

The concert is planned to be held on April 28 of 2016. The famous Finnish musician Sammi Jaffa will be helping the Estonian president during the concert. Many compositions that Ilves modified and developed were released on Teenage Wasteland disk. The income gathered from the sales of the disks will be utilized for the charity purposes. It will be transferred to the fund to help sick Estonian children. The president mentioned that not all of his favorite songs were included in the album. “But, perhaps there will be more surprises (at the concert),” he added.

Ilves was born in Stockholm (Sweden) in 1953. Later, his family moved to the United States where the future Estonian President spent his childhood and youth. Ilves worked in the European Parliament. He led the Social Democratic Party of Estonia. He was elected as the president of Estonia on 23 September of 2006. His presidential term will expire in August of 2016 .
