YEREVAN. – The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Artsvik Minasyan, on Wednesday met with a delegation led by the Minister of State for Trade and Industry of Singapore, Koh Poh Koon.
The Ministry of Economy of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that, welcoming the guests, the Minister Minasyan noted that the first visit of Minister of State Koon to Armenia will enable to raise cooperation between two countries to a new level.
Presenting the economic situation of Armenia, Artsvik Minasyan noted that as a small country, Armenia is interested in the Singaporean model of economic development.
During the meeting, reference was made to information technology, tourism, aviation, and several other domains.

The possibility of cooperation between the Standards, Productivity and Innovation Committee Agency affiliated to the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore and the National Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia was presented during the talk.
The Minister welcomed the proposals, noting that there is potential for growth in trade and investment relations.
Also, the interlocutors exchanged views on custom procedures, the Eurasian Economic Union, the possibilities of import of Singaporean products to the European and Iranian markets via Armenia, and of Armenian products to the Asian markets via Singapore.
The importance of mutual visits by businessmen was stressed.
At the end of the meeting Koh Poh Koon invited Artsvik Minasyan to Singapore, and this will also enable the signing of agreements on specific matters.
