YEREVAN. – German Bundestag (parliament) deputy Christoph Bergner, who is also member of the Bundestag Committee on Foreign Affairs and of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Relations with South Caucasus Countries, on Friday visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

The German MP laid a wreath at the monument to the innocent victims of the first genocide of the 20th century, and placed flowers near the Eternal Flame in memory of these victims.

Also, Bergner toured the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and signed its commemoration book.

“I have sent a message that honoring the memory of Armenian Genocide victims shall be a caution for us, and [shall] have great importance in the present and future,” Christoph Bergner said.
