US President Barack Obama has covertly urged the UK youth to vote for the EU membership, urging to avoid the "isolationism" and distancing themselves from world affairs.

Earlier, the head of the American state who is on a visit in London has openly spoken in favor of Britain’s’ membership to the EU, causing squall of indignation from many British politicians who have accused him of intervention in internal affairs of the country. The referendum on the issue of membership will take place on June 23.

Obama said that he was there to ask them to refuse self-elimination appeals, RIA Novosti reported.
