MP of the Danish Parliament Lars Aslan Rasmussen said that his appeal of Turkey is to  stop lying and stop assisting genocide in Syria.

The West has applied double standards on the issue of Armenian Genocide, he said during the Second Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide in Yerevan on April 23.

Politicians, according to the Danish lawmaker, knew what was going on.

Lars Aslan Rasmussen stated that he has a Kurdish father from Bingöl and a Danish mother. He was a child and saw the destroyed churches. Then he was told the official point of view of Turkey that there was no genocide and that Armenians killed Turks.

Lars Aslan Rasmussenalso added that his political colleagues in Parliament who are against the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, said that this the historians have to deal with the issue, but all historians argue that it was a genocide.
