YEREVAN. - The visit to Armenia will allow us to get familiarized with the quality of jewelry, representative of the Swiss Association of Jewelry and Precious Metal Suppliers, Marc Alain Christen, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to him, Swiss watches are demanded in Armenia as before. The situation may be a little harder with jewelry, but it's easier with watches, considering famous prestigious brands, he added.

As to the demand for jewelry (and opportunities for Armenian producers) in Switzerland, here - like in many other European countries - the demand doesn't grow, but is nevertheless quite high. ''Switzerland’s economy has slowed down, but its absolute indexes are high. Thus, we are in fortunate position even if compared with other European countries,'' he said.
