Turkey has been unable to block the NATO's operations in the Aegean Sea during the meeting of NATO’s defense ministers, stated the Greek Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, accusing the Turkish side of creating an atmosphere of instability and provocations, reports the RIA Novosti.

"I would like to congratulate the members of our NATO delegation - militaries and diplomats - for the efforts they have made for the ongoing NATO operation in the Aegean Sea, despite a counteraction from Turkey," the minister said.

"It is important that the NATO’s presence in the region not only be an effective means of curbing the flow of refugees, but also help our allies to see Turkey's provocations, violations of international norms, and  attempts to create instability between two members of the alliances," said the Greek minister.
