Rumen Radev wins the first round of presidential elections with 25.7 percent of votes. His candidacy was put forward by the opposition-led Bulgarian Socialist Party, reports the DW. His contestant, the Bulgarian Parliament Speaker and a member of Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria Tsetska Tsacheva is falling behind Radev by 22 percent. The winner will be announced after the second round, which will take place on November 13.  " I will not allow Bulgaria to become the migrant ghetto of Europe,"  said the opposition candidate who is in favor of improving relations and cancelling sanctions against Russia.
