YEREVAN. – President of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, on Wednesday met with newly appointed Kuwaiti Ambassador Nawaf Abdul Aziz Abdullah Alenezi.

Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, Sahakyan expressed the hope that the diplomat will do his utmost, during his tenure, to further develop and deepen friendly relations between the two countries, the NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, the speaker of the Armenian parliament expressed his readiness to continue assisting in the implementation of joint projects between the legislatures of Armenia and Kuwait.

Ambassador Alenezi, for his part, assured that he will contribute to the further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. He likewise underscored the need to make interparliamentary collaboration grow deeper.

The diplomat added that the Armenian community in Kuwait has had a great role in the development of his country.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the projects to be jointly implemented.
