German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier urged Syria to establish a long-term humanitarian ceasefire. He said this in an interview with N-TV, reports TASS. "The point is that it is necessary to agree on a humanitarian break that lasts more than 10 hours," he said, adding that currently there is not enough time to deliver the aid.

"Our next step will be to try to deliver the humanitarian aid to the east of Aleppo as soon as possible. To this end, we are in close contact with the UN special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura," he said.

According to Steinmeier, it is necessary to begin negotiations about ceasefire, after supplies of the humanitarian aid have been delivered. The previous humanitarian break lasted 10 hours. It was approved on November 4.
