YEREVAN. – There are very strong institutions in the U.S. and president’s institute is not the only one in the context of foreign policy of the country, Head of the NATO Liaison Office in the South Caucasus, Ambassador William Lahue stated on Monday at the opening of the NATO Week in Yerevan, Armenia , which will last till November 18, 2016.
Asked specifically whether Donald Trump's election affects NATO relations with the Post-Soviet countries, in particular Armenia, Lahue replied that all are waiting to see what will happen, noting that partnership with Armenia is managed through the Congress. The ambassador said that he has no concerns, as there is more than one political institute which affects the formation of U.S. foreign policy.
