The Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn said that the EU cannot passively watch how Turkey is trying to restore the death penalty and places opposition figures under arrests. "None of us wants to abandon Turkey, but Turkey should also not abandon us," said Asselborn. Earlier, he told that sanctions against Turkey are possible.
