The European Union (EU) is committed to supporting the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Minsk Group (OSCE MG) co-chairs’ efforts toward the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Ambassador Malena Mard, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, stated about the above-said, reported APA news agency of the country.

Mard recalled that Ambassador Herbert Salber, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, had met with Azerbaijan FM Elmar Mammadyarov, on the sidelines of the recent OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Hamburg, Germany.

She also stressed that the EU will continue closely cooperating with the OSCE MG on the settlement of this conflict.

Malena Mard added that Salber visited Azerbaijan five times during the year, and he is expected to visit the country next year, too.
