The Israeli Foreign Ministry follows closely the developments in the case of blogger Alexander Lapshin, a citizen of Israel and Rissia, who is arrested in Belarus.

“We follow closely the developments in the case of Mr. Lapshin and are in contact with the relevant parties through diplomatic and consular channels,” spokesman of Israeli Foreign Minister Emanuel Nahshon said in response to enquiry by Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Earlier on Tuesday the Supreme Court of Belarus rejected the complaints filed in the case of blogger Alexander Lapshin. According Lapshin’s lawyer, the decision will enter into force from the date of announcement, and theoretically the extradition of Alexander Lapshin is possible even today.
