YEREVAN. – A total of 82.2 percent of respondents in Armenia would like to see Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan remain in office also after the forthcoming parliamentary election in the country.

Director of the Gallup International Association Armenia Office, Aram Navasardyan, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Monday, as he presented the starting indicators—based on the results of a pre-election sociological survey that was conducted in the country from February 23 to March 2—of the political parties and alliances that are running for parliament.

As per Navasardyan, 8.8 percent of the respondents, however, could not answer the respective question.

“[Another] 2.7 percent responded, ‘definitely not,’” noted Navasardyan. “6.2 percent—‘probably not,’ 47.6 percent—‘probably yes,’ and 34.6 percent—‘definitely yes.’”

The parliamentary election in Armenia will be conducted on April 2.
