YEREVAN. - Armenia is an exclusive example of cooperation with NATO in the region.

Polish Ambassador to Armenia, Jerzy Nowakowski, said the aforementioned at the meeting with journalists on Monday.

During the recent working visit to Brussels on February 26-28, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and invited him to visit Armenia. The visit will certainly take place, both sides having a lot to discuss, the Ambassador noted.

In the words of the Polish diplomat, Armenia has been cooperating with NATՕ for already 25 years. This process was later formulated in the Individual Partnership Action Plan. Not being a NATO member and preapring to join it, Armenia sends peacekeepers to Lebanon and Afghanistan under the auspices of the Alliance.

The cooperation between Armenia and Poland is developing as well. Special company Lubawa Armenia established by Polish Lubawa company and the Defense Ministry of Armenia operates in the republic. This is an exlusive example of cooperation with a country which is in another military bloc,'' Nowakowski said.
