This year the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries shall surmount the reduction in trade between them.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev noted the aforementioned at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

In his words, it is important to do this by relying on economic cooperation in domains where high integration potential is concentrated.  

Medvedev stressed that external factors are having a negative impact on trade within the EAEU. He added, however, that mutual trade was managed to be improved slightly and agricultural production increased.

The Russian PM urged to continue identifying the constraints which remain between countries during trade, and to officially confirm the annual status of the forum on counterfeit goods.

The Eurasian Economic Union comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
