President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday met with Mayor of France Anne Hidalgo.

At the outset of the meeting, Sargsyan congratulated Hidalgo on the International Women’s Day, wishing her the best, the press-service of the Armenian President’s Office informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

Ms Hidalgo, for her part, noted that she recalls with pleasure and warmth her visits to Armenia, considering Yerevan as a capital of the hospitality art.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the developing and strengthening cooperation between Yerevan and Paris.

By the end of the meeting, Sargsyan handed a Medal of Honor to the Ms Hidalgo for her contribution to the development of the Armenian-French friendly ties.

Apart from this, the Armenian President and French Mayor signed on a memorial stand dedicated to Sargsyan’s visit.

Afterwards, an official reception in honor of the Armenian President’s visit was held in the Municipality of Paris, during which Sargsyan and Hidalgo delivered speeches.
