The president of Poland Andrzej Duda is ready to begin a new phase of relations with the European Council President Donald Tusk, said the president's press service director Marek Magerovski. Magerovski stressed that the Polish president plans to restore the unity of the EU together with Donald Tusk, the Polish Radio reports.

"There are no barriers between the president and the head of the EU Council. Such a meeting will take place, though not in the near future. It is important for them to have a possibility to talk calmly about the future of the Europe and the role of Poland, which is apparently also important for Tusk. Poland’s president is ready for the talks with the President of the Council of Europe. There are neither political nor personal obstacles for their future cooperation, " announced the press service of the Polish President.

On March 10, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda sent a letter to Donald Tusk, congratulating him on his reelection as the head of the Council of Europe.
