Pope Francis announced, that closing factories and laying off workers without due cause is a very serious sin, report the BBC.
"Those who for economic reasons or to conclude unclear negotiations, close factories and business ventures and take away jobs, this person is committing a very grave sin," said the pope.
Pope Francis has been concerned over the situation on the Italian Sky TV where serious cuts started. During his speech, he deviated from the prepared text. “Work gives dignity,” the Pope said, “and managers are obliged to do all possible so that every man and woman can work and so carry their heads high and look others in the eye with dignity.”
