The surveillance cameras in St. Petersburg have captured the alleged organizer of the blast, the source of Russian news agency Interfax familiar with the course of the investigation reported.
According to the preliminary data, the explosive device filled with shrapnel might have been left in a briefcase on a train carriage.
As per the official information, 9 people were dead and 20 wounded as a result of the blast.
