YEREVAN. – In the year past, the schoolchildren of Armenia won five gold medals at the World Gymnasiade that was held in Trabzon, Turkey. 

The Minister of Education and Science, Levon Mkrtchyan, said the abovementioned during Monday’s debates on the 2016 State Budget performance report, at the standing committees of the National Assembly of Armenia. 

In his words, also, the Armenian schoolchildren won two silver and eight bronze medals at this event, and Armenia placed tenth in the team

challenge.In addition, the Armenian schoolchildren’s team advanced to the final stage for the first time and took seventh place at a competition that was held in Israel. 

And in Serbia, the volleyball-playing schoolchildren of Armenia passed the points needed to qualify for the 2018 World Championships.
