YEREVAN. – Educational and cultural relations between Germany and Armenia are dynamically developing, German Ambassador to Armenia Matthias Kiesler told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.

According to him, in two weeks, the Goethe Institute will be opened in Armenia, which will deal not only with educational activities, but also with cultural programs.

“As for education, we are constantly contributing to the process of in-depth training of the German language in Armenia, we are giving young Armenians the opportunity to receive quality education in German universities”, the ambassador said.

He also noted the important role of the economic component in the Armenian-German relations.

“We are working to attract more investments to Armenia and to intensify bilateral trade. And, the Agreement on Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership with the EU can be an important impetus for German investors and business circles. This agreement opens up opportunities for reforms and modernization, and this is crucial for attracting investors”, Kiesler said.
