Iraqi Leader Saddam Hussein’s bride Sevim Torun (52) died in the hospital in Istanbul.

The marriage of Baghdad beauty began as a fairytale and ended in suffering. Only 3-5 people bade farewell to Torun in Istanbul, Milliyet daily reports.

After winning the competition “Queen of Baghdad” in 1982 Sevim married Husseyn’s son Uday.

Their marriage lasted only for 8 months as the young woman failed to withstand pressures and fled to Turkey.
