Various reasons causing the aggravation of situation in South Caucasus prove that Moscow fails to control the circumstances, Dr. Stepan Grigoryan, Chairman of the board of Analytical Center on Globalization and Regional Cooperation (ACGRC) told NEWS.am.

According to him, Moscow sticks to conception while staking on certain group in the North Caucasian republics, provoking its confrontation with other groups. Besides, degree of freedom in Russia dramatically lowered, that usually leads to confrontation. “Power method entails only the temporary solution to the problem,” he underlined. The expert considers unlikely that strain situation in South Caucasus impacts Armenia, however it will reflect on Abkhazia and South Ossetia, consequently also on Georgia.

Recently, the information about explosions, exchange of fire and attacks in the North Caucasus is received daily. On September 16, 2009 a female suicide bomber activated an explosive device in Grozny, Chechnya.

Earlier the unknown brought down fire on Road Patrol Service in Derbent, Dagestan.
