Situation of strain in North Caucasus undoubtedly impacts on all countries of the region, including South Caucasus, however Armenia is the most secure country, Georgian expert Gia Khukhashvili told NEWS.am.

“The situation is much more dangerous in Georgia due to its border with Dagestan. Besides, there are internal conflicts in the country”, Khukhashvili stated.

According to the expert, Russia should take decisive steps on settlement of the current situation and prevent further terrorist acts in North Caucasian territory.

Recently, the information on blasts, skirmishes, attacks from South Caucasian countries is reported daily. On September 16, 2009 a female suicide bomber detonated the explosives in Grozny, Chechnya killing several people and wounding others.

September 12, 2009 an explosion in High School #1 of Grozny killed 3 policemen and injured others.
